If we could give 1000 stars to Sara and her team at Function Design, we would. As soon as we met with Sara we knew that she understood our vibe and values. Throughout the year and a half that we worked with her she was responsive, understanding, and somehow made planning a wedding fun. The final product was more than we ever could have dreamed of and that is all due to Sara and her team. She dealt with every curveball with professionalism and excellent communication.

Sara from the start was open, helpful, realistic, and upbeat. She was so incredibly helpful from start to finish on all processes, from vision to structuring to execution. She was able to help give us ideas when needed, vendor recommendations, advice when something wasn't coming together quite right, and was able to help us figure out which ideas were the best to carry forward and which ones wouldn't work with other logistics we had in our head. It was so valuable to have someone with so much experience guide us in a way that would make sure our wedding could go off without any issues (and it did!!!) while also being very transparent and honest with which ideas we had would work and which ones would be more trouble than they would really be worth.

Sara and her team at Function Design did both the coordination and design for our wedding. They did such an incredible job!

As our coordinator, Sara did so much for us. She took time to understand our priorities, values, and vision and supported us to make the best decisions for us. She gave us guidance based on what mattered to us. Our work with her felt very personalized, even noticing how important our dogs are to us and thinking about how they could be included. Sara helped us to remain organized and to ensure everything was thought of. She created a checklist for us covering everything we would need to think about. She also provided us great suggestions for vendors. She was always prompt, clear, and supportive in her communication with us. She also took over communication with our vendors leading up to the wedding, and we got great feedback from them about working with her. One of our goals for our wedding was that our wedding parties and families could just sit back, have fun, and enjoy! Sara and Function Design made this happen! We felt relaxed and present in the moment all day because Sara and her team took care of absolutely everything.

Regarding design, we were blown away by Function Design’s work. Sara took time to learn our vision (even when we weren’t sure ourselves!). She then presented us with a good range of options that hit different price points and was very open to ideas for changes. She then did all the work with vendors, sourcing, and decorating. Throughout the process, Sara was open to communicating with our family members as well when they had particular ideas for décor. Overall, Function Design worked with very little input from us (design is not our forte) and created a space that was beautiful, aligned with who we are, and practical.

I don’t even know where to begin speaking about my experience working with Sara and the Function team to plan, execute, and host our annual Culture Fest, which, while it doesn’t sound like it, is a corporate event.

From the moment I dropped this awesomely daunting event on Function’s desk, they were on top of it. After an initial meeting to understand our wildest dreams for this event, I was promptly introduced to Function’s planning software, Aisle Planner. I mean, come on, this software has everything you could ever want or need, and that’s because Function already thought of it and put it in a beautiful checklist!! I love a checklist. Aisle Planner made communicating with Sara and the Function team quick and easy (not thatit was hard to begin with; I love talking to these angels), and going back to find vendor contract info and decision points was a breeze. I never felt like I had to bug the team for answers; it was all right where I left it.

When it was time to book vendors, Function had ALL the connections… I did so much research and emailing, and they still brought businesses to the table that I had never heard of, and with a focus on local partnerships! Function’s connections in the industry were beyond helpful, reducing major stress and costs for us in the end. Not to mention the friendships they clearly have with their partners and the friendships we made along the way! Every single person I interacted with was a dream.

As I mentioned, our annual Culture Fest is a wild event, and we’re a wild crew with a lot of wild ideas. I swear, Sara and the Function team literally reach into our brains, pull out our imagination, and make it a reality (plus, they always add a little extra of their flare). They take wild ideas and make them functional (heh, see what I did there?!). But seriously, how do they do this?? We have had two Culture Fests planned by Function, and at each of them, there was a moment where I stepped back and could not believe the magic in front of me… That magic was wholeheartedly created by Sara and her team.”
